The Psychology and Legality of Cheating

Unfortunately, around 50% of all marriages will end in divorce. As a divorce lawyer in Charleston, I know that many of those divorces involve a husband or wife who cheats. In this broadcast of Legally Speaking, my co-host Tina Willis and I are joined by Dr. Jennifer Gunsaullus, a sexologist from California, and Rhode Island divorce attorney Christopher Pearsall. During the show, we discussed the psychological and legal issues surrounding adultery and divorce. Topics included how to tell if your spouse is cheating on you; whether to confront your spouse over cheating from both a practical and a legal standpoint; how to protect yourself, emotionally and legally, from a cheating spouse; whether you should reconcile with a cheating spouse; and what happens emotionally and legally if you forgive your cheating spouse.
